Obituary

With shattered hearts and abiding faith, we share the passing of our precious daughter, Zoe Kate Rollins, who left this world far too soon at the age of 13.

Zoe was a radiant light in the lives of all who knew her. A devoted Christian, she loved the Lord with her whole heart, and her faith shone through her kindness, compassion, and joyful spirit. She carried herself with a gentleness and grace beyond her years, always ready with a warm smile or a comforting word.

One of Zoe’s most recognizable features was her beautiful dark curls — her trademark. She took such loving care of them, and they framed her bright smile in a way that made her glow even more. Those curls were as full of life and personality as she was, and they will forever be remembered by all who knew her.

As a dedicated cheerleader, Zoe’s enthusiasm was contagious. She brought energy, determination, and encouragement to her team, always lifting others up and celebrating their successes. Her bright smile on the sidelines reflected the joy she carried within.

Zoe was also a remarkably talented artist. Her creativity poured onto every page and canvas she touched, revealing both imagination and depth. She had a special gift for seeing beauty in the world and sharing it with others through her art. She noticed all of the small details others might overlook — in nature, in people, and in the places she visited — and she captured that beauty with a thoughtful and observant heart.

She loved taking trips with her family, cherishing the time spent together exploring new places and making memories. Zoe had a deep interest in learning about history and was fascinated by the stories of the past, always eager to understand how things came to be. Whether visiting historic sites or discovering something new, she approached each experience with curiosity and wonder.

Zoe was also quietly brave. She overcame her fear of dogs and even conquered her fear of roller coasters, showing a determination that inspired those around her. In her own special way, she faced challenges with courage and grew stronger through them. At home, Zoe kept the most beautiful, perfectly organized bedroom — a space filled with all the things she loved. It was a reflection of her creative spirit and thoughtful heart, a place where her personality shone in every carefully arranged detail. In the classroom, Zoe was an accomplished and hardworking student, admired by teachers and classmates alike for her dedication, intelligence, and strong character.

Zoe is survived by her parents, Scott and Stephanie Rollins, and her sister, Olivia; her grandparents, Larry and Nona Tidwell, Paul and Una Green, and Shirley Pierce; her aunt, uncle, and cousin, Shane, Andrea, and Lily Woodson; many aunts and uncles, Pam, Josh, Jason, Matt, Karissa, and Sheryl; and many cousins and loved ones.

Zoe was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Frank and Flossie Ayers and Arnold and Pauline Green; her grandparents, Gerald Ray Rollins and Raymond Pierce; and her uncles, Christopher Rollins, Jeff Pierce, and Tim Vanderlinden.

Though her time here was far too brief, Zoe’s life was filled with purpose and light. She touched hearts deeply and leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, creativity, courage, curiosity, and love. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
