Woody Sam Grove

Woody Sam Grove, age 76, of Knoxville, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 19, 2026, after a short illness. He was a proud Veteran of the Air National Guard. He had a black belt in martial arts. He was the former owner of Hot Rod Barn and Long’s Auto Parts. He retired after 11 years from The Wilderness of the Smokies. 

He was preceded in death by parents, Woodrow Grove and Doris Evans; stepson, Sonny Rutherford; and niece, Shara Galloway. He is survived by wife of 37 years, Susan Grove; sister, Brenda Cherry Galloway (Robert); 3 step-grandsons; and many friends.

The family will have a Celebration of Life service Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Knoxville Area Rescue Mission.
