Winfred Mitchell

Winfred Mitchell, age 92 of Maynardville passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020. A veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II. A longtime employee of Standard Knitting Mill and Dempster Brothers. Later in life he owned and operated Mitch’s Auto Trim. Preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Elsie Mitchell; siblings Edith Dukes, Margaret Hale, Iva Stanley, Lola Myers, Richard Mitchell, and Beecher Mithcell; daughter-in- law Sandra Oakes Mitchell. Survived by his wife of 65 years Phyllis Vandergriff Mitchell; son Randall Mitchell; daughter Norma Janeway (Kent); grandchildren Brandon Janeway (April) and Eric Mitchell; great-grandchildren Gavin and Blakely Janeway; brother Audley Mitchell (Liva); and a host of nieces and nephews.
