William "Bill" Connard Zimmerman

William “Bill” Connard Zimmerman, age 50, of Powell was called Home to join his Heavenly Father on November 8, 2023. Bill was a beloved son, father, brother, grandpa, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was lovingly referred to as “Little Bill” even when he grew to tower over those calling him by that name. He relished his role as grandpa to his grandson, David. He was a hard worker- working alongside his father for over thirty years - a lover of classic country and classic rock music, and a skilled gunsmith. He was quick with a quip and enjoyed bringing humor into most any situation. If a new baby was in his presence, it was Bill’s job to christen him or her with his signature head rub. Bill will be missed greatly, but we take great comfort in knowing there is a reunion coming. “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope…” 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. Preceded in death by grandparents, Bertie and William Zimmerman, Ruby and Looney Wells; aunt, Sheila Pollard; uncles, Charles Zimmerman and Oliver Wampler; cousins, Audra Wampler and Tyler Green. Survived by parents, Vicki and Niles Zimmerman; sons, Justin and Matthew Zimmerman; sister, Jenny Zimmerman; grandson, David Zimmerman; aunts, Joan Wampler and Phyl (Wayne) Green, and Brenda (Greg) McDuffie; girlfriend, Mandy Campbell, and many other family and friends. The family will receive friends 5:00pm Monday, November 13, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel until the time of funeral service at 7:00pm, officiated by Rev. Lee Murphy. Family and friends will meet 10:15am Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home for procession to Woodhaven Cemetery, for an 11:00am graveside service.
