Willie D. Hunley, Jr.

Willie D. Hunley, Jr, age 76, passed away peacefully at Sacred Ground Hospice on Monday, April 27, 2026.

His children, grandchildren, and great granddaughters were his pride and joy! He loved working in his woodshop making things. He also loved going to the "Cigar Store" to spend time with his buddies.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Brenda; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Willie D. Hunley, Sr.; 1 brother; 2 sisters and their husbands; 1 brother-in-law.

Survived by son, Rick (Chelsey) Hunley, daughter, Terrie (Keith) Goosie; bonus son, Craig Hoffner; and "other daughter", Trisha Gentry; grandchildren, Mackenzie (Bryson) Valentine, Nathaniel Goosie, Madison Goosie, Chloe Hunley, Alexis Williams (fiancée, Landon), and Alex Idol; great granddaughters, Wrenlee Valentine and Lainey Vanosdale; sister-in-law, Bobbie Bales; and other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the family from 5:00pm - 7:00pm, Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Mynatt Funeral Home Powell Chapel with a service following at 7:00pm.  Rev. Jim McNeal officiating.  Family and friends will meet at 10:15am, Friday, May 1, 2026 at Bells Campground Cemetery for a 10:30am graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations be made to Mynatt Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
