William Gene Wilson

William Gene Wilson (Bill), age 71 of Knoxville, TN went to his eternal home on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024.  His loving family was with him when he took his last breaths.  He had fought a long and courageous battle with leukemia. Bill was born in Lancaster, SC on February 8, 1953.  He attended Lancaster High School and graduated in 1972.  He continued his education at the University of South Carolina.  He was retired from Compass Group.

Preceded in death by father Gene Wilson and mother Elizabeth Baker Wilson Horton.

He is survived by wife Virginia Logan; daughter Taylor Knight (Bryan), son Elliott Wilson (Bailey), grandchildren Kingston Knight, Emery Knight and Lainey Knight, all of Knoxville; brother-in-law Jeff Angelo of Sweetwater, TN, brother-in-law Jack Logan of Hendersonville, TN; sister Gelene McCollum (Jerry) of Easley, SC; and special friend Darrell Barnes of Blythewood, SC; Uncle James Baker of Memphis, TN; and extended family and friends.
