William Henry Stooksbury

William “Bill” H. Stooksbury, 85, of Powell, TN passed away on January 25, 2026. Bill had a passion for hunting and loved spending time with his hunting dogs. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Gerald Stooksbury; sister, Judy Franse and brother, Joe Ronnie Stooksbury. He is survived by his son, Barry Stooksbury (Shannan); brothers, Larry Stooksbury (Cathy), George Stooksbury (Cindy), Rex Stooksbury (Sue), Mike Stooksbury (Karen); granddaughters, Carmen Stooksbury and Madeline Stooksbury; stepsons, Mark Gerald and Todd Gerald.

A call at convenience will be held from 9:00am - 5:00pm on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Mynatt Funeral Home Powell Chapel. 

Family and friends will meet at 12:45pm at Lynch-Bethel Cemetery on Saturday, February 7, 2026, for a 1:00pm graveside service.
