William Smith

 William (Eddie) Smith, age 77 of Knoxville passed away Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024. He was a member of the North Acres Baptist Church. Eddie was preceded in death by his father Theodore Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Rita, of 39 years, step-son Scott (Mindy) Corum, beloved grandsons Caleb Corum and Connor Cliburn, mother, Betty Ruth (Neubert) Smith, sister, Sandra (Wayne) Patterson, nephew, Eric (Miranda) Loy. He retired from the Air National Guard 134th refueling group with 25 years of service and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Also retired from Modine Mfg. Co. 

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at the North Acres Baptist Church, 5803 Millertown Pike, Knoxville, TN 37924 with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m., Rev. William Purvis officiating. Family and friends will meet at the Roseberry Cemetery on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 10:45 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service.
