William O. Sharp, Jr.

William O. Sharp, Jr., age 80, of Powell, TN, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon, October 29, 2023. He was of the Baptist faith and was retired from the construction industry. William was a proud United States Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam War Era. William was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mossie Sharp; brother, Gene Sharp and beloved wife, Laverne Sharp. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Lisa and Ronnie Waldrop; grandchildren, Derek (Jessica) Waldrop and Lori (Tyler) Simpson; great-grandchildren, Mason and Gracie; sisters, Bernice Henderson and Lela Hunter. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM. Reverend Brent Turner officiating. Family and friends will meet by 10:30 AM Thursday, November 2, 2023at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel and proceed to Fort Sumter Cemetery for an 11:00 AM graveside service with full military honors.
