William Paul McManus

William Paul McManus, 83 of Knoxville, TN, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. He was born in Marietta, Georgia on September 4, 1942, to Enoch and Louise McManus. He was a graduate of Halls High School, class of 1960.

Paul was a member of IBEW Local Union 270 in Oak Ridge, TN. He had an outstanding career in the electrical field that took him to many places in the United States and overseas. He retired as a construction engineer at Y-12 Nuclear Plant in 2007. He enjoyed restoring old cars and the fellowship of other car enthusiasts.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several beloved brothers and sisters.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Anna; they were very blessed with three children, Mike (Vandy), Alan (Abby), and Mindy (Boyd) Peters; grandchildren, Kristin (Paul) Elliott, Wesley (Katherine), Kelly (Evan) Brooks, Melissa (Matt) Adams, Jordan (Kelsey), Travis (Brittany) Peters, Josh (Kara) Peters; and 12 great-grandchildren that he thought hung the moon; sister, Kathy Sharp; and several nieces and nephews.

Thank you so much for so many years of wonderful memories. We love you always.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 2:00 -4:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel. A service will follow with Pastor Wayne Henderson officiating.

Friends and family will gather at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 12:00 pm and follow in procession to Fort Sumter Community Cemetery for a 1:00 pm graveside service.
