William Earl McGinnis

William Earl McGinnis, age 86, of Corryton, TN, passed away peacefully at Emory Ridge Memory Care on Monday, May 27, 2024. He was saved early in life at Mount Eager Baptist Church during Vacation Bible School. Earl was kind and loving to everyone. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Shirley Ann Blankenship McGinnis; father, John Tilden McGinnis; mother, Molissie McGinnis; brothers, John Paul McGinnis, Gerald McGinnis; sister-in-law, Sarah McGinnis; brothers-in-law, Coy Blankenship and Billy Ray Blankenship. Earl is survived by his children, Charlotte and Larry Avens, Doug and Pam McGinnis; grandchildren, Lori Hensley (David), Amber Greer (Kevin), Gabe McGinnis (Raysha), Cameron McGinnis (Chelsey), Callie Young (Robert); great-grandchildren, Owen Hensley, Stella Hensley, Hannah Greer, Kyler Greer, Tegan McGinnis, Rylan McGinnis and Lyla Young; sisters-in-law, Wanda McGinnis, Rema Blankenship, Ella Blankenship; brother-in-law, Bobby Joe and Kathy Blankenship; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM. Reverend Doug McGinnis officiating. The family and friends will meet by 10:45 Am Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Cleveland Cemetery, 193 locust Grove Road, Washburn, TN for and 11:00AM interment.
