William "Bill" George Ballard

William “Bill” G. Ballard, age 91 of Clinton, TN went to be with his Savior on Sunday, September 8, 2024. He was born May 21, 1933. He was a member and Deacon of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Powell. Long time employee of Tennessee Mill and Mine.

Preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Mabel “Ruth” Norris Ballard; son, Larry E. Ballard, son in law; Roy L. Stooksbury; parents, George O. Ballard and Blanche Long Ballard; brothers, Harry Ballard (Mary Kate), Jim Ballard (Joyce). 

Survived by daughters Teresa Stooksbury of Andersonville, Sheila Archer (Terry) of Clinton; grandchildren, Brad Stooksbury of NY, Shane Stooksbury (Crystal) of Norris, Rodney Archer (Callie) of Andersonville, Michelle Scott (Staniel) of California, Megan Bradley (Jonathan) of Farragut, Ashley Ballard of Nashville, and Tori Ballard of Florida; as well as 9 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and friends. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 5:00-7:00PM at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Powell with a service to follow at 7:00PM, with Rev. Billy Moore, and Rev. Doug Fielden officiating. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 1:15PM to go in procession to Norris Memorial Gardens for a 2:00PM interment.
