Westley Brandon Mills, 35, was welcomed into the arms of his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from his earthly home in Knoxville, Tennessee. Brandon was born on March 5, 1988 to Jack and Shannon Mills in Knoxville, TN. He is preceded in death by paternal grandfather Jack Mills, Sr., paternal step-grandfather Douglas Henry, uncles Lynn Henry, Brian (Bopper) Mills, and maternal step-grandfather Steve Lambert. Brandon is survived by his wife Jamie Metcalfe and her children Casey, Riley and Gabe Metcalfe, father Jack (Tammy) Mills, mother Shannon (David) Lambert; brother Cayden Mills; sister Jacklyn Mills; children Haydon Beard, Nevaeh Thomas, and Serenity Mills; grandparents Linda Lambert (Nanny), Bill (Carol) Brabson (Poppy), Ethel Walker (Mamaw), Roger Walker (Papaw); beloved aunts Susan Dalton, Amanda Vargas and beloved uncles Jason (Jean) Mills, Clifford (Val Baker) Brabson and Charles Brabson.
Brandon grew up in the Knoxville area and from the earliest age showed great artistic talent. He could draw pictures and caricatures, but he loved using his own imagination to bring his thoughts and dreams to life. Brandon attended South Doyle high school and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Drawing and painting pictures was his passion that he poured into becoming a well-respected, local tattoo artist, actually selling his first tattoo design at the age of eight. Brandon loved working with his hands, doing bodywork, painting and restoring cars with his friends and creating custom motorcycles. One of Brandon’s hidden talents was in the kitchen where he demonstrated his love for cooking almost daily. Brandon had some rough spots in his life and told anyone who would listen how much his time at Steps House and attending Drunk Church helped him find his foundation and reestablish his personal relationship with God. He loved with his whole heart, always showing how much he cared for people by sacrificing himself in order to help others. Brandon never met a stranger and loved unconditionally, especially those closest to him. He met and married his wife, Jamie Metcalfe, who held a special place in his heart for her love and acceptance of his wit and quirkiness. If ever two people were destined to find each other, it was Brandon and Jamie.
