Wayne Tarver

Wayne Tarver, age 78, passed away on July 15, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Wayne was a proud Vietnam veteran and retired from the Y-12 shift after more than 30 years of dedicated work. He enjoyed working on cars, loved camping, and most of all cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Tarver; father, Vaughn Tarver; brothers, Paul Tarver, Dewey Tarver, and David Tarver; and sister, Wanda Petts.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Lynn Tarver; sons, Mike Tarver (Mona) and Bobby Tarver (Becky); sisters Faye Murrell, Leisa Tindell; grandchildren, Jordan, Bobby Jr., Aaryn, Cody, Reece, and great-grandchildren, Eleanore, Memphis, Hazel, Layla, Riley, and Beckett.

Family and friends will gather for visitation on Friday, July 31, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.

Wayne will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
