Wayne Vincent Sobota

Wayne Sobota, age 86, passed away peacefully at Heritage Assisted Living, Fountain City on January 18, 2026. Born in Chicago, IL he then went on to make a home for himself in Knoxville, TN after serving his country in the U.S Navy. Wayne was known for being a history buff and a huge dog lover. Many thanks to the staff at UT Hospice and Heritage Assisted Living for their dedication and care of Mr. Sobota. There will be a funeral service on February 2nd, 2026 at 2:00pm at East Tennessee Veteran’s Cemetery (2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920).
