Wayne Rudolph Lockett, age 88, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 30, 2024. He was a Marine for 5 years, a life time member of the NRA, an avid hunter and fisherman, loved caring for his cattle and farms. Wayne was an active member of the Knoxville Baptist Tabernacle. He was the longest active employee at the Tennessee Department of Transportation.

Preceded in death by parents, James and Clayetta Lockett; niece, Julie Karnes.

Survived by sister, Carolyn Lane; longtime girlfriend and travel buddy, Linda Morgan; beloved niece, Teresa Merritt (Mark); nephew, David Rhea (Tina); as well as cousins, close friends and family.

Special thank you to Lindi Wallace for her care and companionship during this time.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel from 11:00am until 12:45. Following the receiving, family and friends will process to Greenwood Cemetery for a 1:00pm graveside service with Rev. Tony Greene and Rev. Alan Stalsworth officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Knoxville Baptist Tabernacle for the Wayne Lockett Missionary House.
