Wanda Mae Imogene Koontz Gray

Wanda Mae Imogene Koontz Gray age 84, of Seymour, TN., formerly of Heiskell, TN., passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024. She was a member of Seymour First Baptist Church, and a previous member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and Liberty Baptist Church. She was a retired garment manufacturing materials handler. In her spare time, she was an avid Dollywood fan and would often visit. More than anything she loved being with her family and friends. Imogene raised her children in church and loved talking about Jesus and her salvation at the age of 33. In her final days, she was still praising the Lord when she heard southern gospel music sung in her room. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy E. Gray, son, Michael Wayne Gray, and parents, O’dell and Gertrude Koontz. She is survived by her son, Bobby Gray, daughters: Angela (Mark) Sebby and Julie (Steve) Knight; grandchildren: Justin Gray, Jared and Ian Sebby, Jacob (Sarah) Knight and Cameron and Eli Knight; and great grandchildren: Autumn Massey and Brody Gray. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Seymour First Baptist Children’s Ministry. The family will receive friends Friday, May 31, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel, immediately followed by a 7:00 PM funeral service officiated by Reverend Stanley Knight. Family and friends will meet Saturday. June 1, 2024, at 10:45 AM at Seymour Memory Gardens (122 Peacock Ct Seymour, TN 37865) for an 11:00 AM interment service. Serving as pallbearers will be, Steve Knight, Jacob Knight, Cameron Knight, Eli Knight, Jared Sebby, Ian Sebby, John Shaw, Darryl Knight and Jeff Knight.
