Wanda Faye Bell

Bell, Wanda Faye, age 90 of Knoxville, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband James Bell Sr. Wanda is survived by her son, James (Laura) Bell Jr., daughter, Brenda (Rick) Fielden, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Wanda graduated from Rush Strong High School in 1952 where she played basketball for three years. Wanda retired after 37 years from Levi Straus. She was longtime member of Oakwood Baptist Church and a devoted Christian. She was famous for her apple stack cakes, fudge, and fruit cakes, and would regularly share with workers, neighbors, and church family. Wanda touched many lives and will be greatly missed. Family and friends will meet 12:45 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Greenwood Cemetery for an 1:00 p.m. graveside service Rev. Tony Earl officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oakwood Baptist Church, 111 E. Columbia Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37917, or a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mynattfh.com.
