Wanda Faye Bales

Wanda Faye Bales was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Wanda will be remembered as a very exceptional person.To not love her was to not know her.       She was born June 15, 1942, the daughter of Arthur Olan and Edna Celia Newport Smith in Andersonville, Tennessee.      Wanda was raised with six siblings. She had four sisters, Joyce, Lois, Imogene, and Brenda and two brothers James and Samual "Buck". Wanda was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.       Wanda married Bill Bales and they lived happily together for 51 years. .      Wanda worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Wanda was blessed with two children, son, Mark and daughter, Tracey.      Wanda passed away on October 6, 2012 at North Knox Medical Center. She is survived by husband, Billy Bales, son Mark Bales, daughter and son-in-law Tracey and Harrell Coppock, and brothers Teddy and Terry Smith along with several cousins, nieces and nephews. Services were held at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Wanda was laid to rest in Edgewood Cemetery.      Simply stated, Wanda was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Wanda leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Wanda Faye Bales.
