Walt C. Wright

Walt C. Wright, age 91 of Knoxville, passed away August 20, 2024. He was a member of Ailordale Baptist Church. Walt was a Korean War Veteran. He enjoyed carpentry work and watching sports, especially the Braves and any UT team, and he once played minor league baseball. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by sons Wally and Eddie Wright, and 5 siblings. Survived by wife of 70 years Ruth Wright, son Tim (Patricia) Wright, grandchildren Amanda (Marti) Spoon, Leslie (Jeremiah) Woods, Brandi (Michael) Warwick, Ashley (Nathan) Lane, Daniel (Dionny) Wright, Camaron (Jon) McBride, great-grandchildren Lane (Deeanna) Lawson, Evan Spoon, Ava, Cash, and Mya Woods, Hudson and Henley Warwick, Blakely and Paisley Lane, Sumera and Ronin Wright, Rilee and Beau McBride, several nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Family and friends will meet at 9:15am Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel to go in procession to Ailordale Baptist Church Cemetery in Maynardville for a 10:00am graveside service.
