Vivian (Gordon) Mitchell

Vivian (Gordon) Mitchell, age 75 of Knoxville, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at Holston Health and Rehab. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a private investigator and process server for over 40 years with Mitchell and Associates. Vivian loved to read and travel. Preceded in death by husband Jim Mitchell and parents Geraldine and James Gordon. Survived by daughter Cara (James) Speegle, Leslie (Jason) Hensley, Ashley (Chris) Owen, grandchildren Skyler, Haiden, Briley, Maleah, J.B., and Zane, 1 great-grandchild Sage, sisters Shelley Manning and Barbara James, brother Carter Gordon, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm Friday, January 30, 2026, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel with a service to follow at 7:00pm, with Scott Hawkins as the Eulogist.
