Virley Mae Trotter

Trotter, Virley Mae Stooksbury, age 99 of Powell, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 11:34pm. Member and faithful servant of Sharon Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by beloved husband Gilford Tate Trotter Jr., daughters; Linda Sue Trotter and Barbara Jean Thomas, parents Herman and Roxie Stooksbury, brothers; Lester and Jack Stooksbury, sisters; Nettie Sharp, Georgia Carnes, Mildred Christy, and Rosie McCroskey. She is survived by loving daughter and son-in-law Beth and Gordon Marlow, Rainbow City, Alabama. Grandchildren; Shane (Missy) Marlow Margert, Alabama, Tracy Fernander (Rodney) Villa Rica, Georgia. Great-grandchildren Drey (Jordan) Marlow Madison, Alabama, Anna Lee and Rose Marie Margaret, Alabama, Mason, Braxton, and Ella Anderson Villa Rica, Georgia. Sister-in-law, Zonie Trotter, several nieces, and nephews. Family will receive friends 11-12:30pm on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Sharon Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery, Dr. Jim Robertson officiating.
