Virginia Jo Welch Raley

Virginia Jo Welch Raley, age 90, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 22, 2023. She was the owner/operator of Virginia's Grocery for over 60 years.

She was well known for her bologna sandwiches and was a well-loved member of her community. Jenny was a Christian, and a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Raley; parents, Reed and Mamie Welch; brothers, Buford and Ulyess; sisters, Vonnie and Roberta.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, David and Kathy Sharp; granddaughters, Lindsey Tipton (Chase), Hannah Sharp and fiancé Joshua Tolbert; great grandchildren, Annslee, Lincoln and Baker Tipton and Collyns Jones; sister, Mattie Lou; brother, Carl.

Family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 11:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel officiated by Reverend Kyle Schell.  Immediately following the service, family and friends will go in procession to Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery for a graveside service.
