Virginia Mae Barger

Virginia (Burns) Barger, age 91 of Fountain City, passed away suddenly Friday, September 16, 2022 at home. She was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by parents, H. R. and Elva Burns; son, Raymond Barger Jr.; and grandson, Matthew Barger. Survivors, husband of 73 years, Raymond Barger Sr.; daughter, Cynthia Barger; Daughter-in-law; Donna Barger; grandson, Bradley (Ashley) Barger; great granddaughter, Leighton Barger; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to family members Joy Day, Phyllis Burns, Cheryl Bible, Mary Sue Marcum, and Bobby Penland. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel and will then leave in precession for a 1:00 pm graveside service at Lynnhurst Cemetery, Dr. Chris Stanfield officiating.
