Virginia Jo Graves

Virginia Jo Belcher Graves, age 86, of Corryton, TN passed away on July 26 at her home. She will be greatly missed by everyone. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a long-time member of Little Flat Creek Baptist Church where she worked with children and youth for many years. She also served as Church Clerk and Financial Secretary for five years. She worked as an Accounting Clerk and Secretary for 35 years and in her retirement, she enjoyed working outside on her farm. Jo will be remembered for her kindness, service to others and top-notch cooking, especially her homemade pies. Preceded in death by her husband, David Graves; daughter, Michelle Sexton Murr; seven sisters; six brothers. Survivors include daughters Leisa (Geoff) Dupes, Tammy (Harvey) Wright; granddaughters, McKinley Snyder, Marina Dupes, Ashley (Jeremy) Swift; grandsons, Dawson Snyder, Jeremiah (Christina) Wright, Cody (Shae) Murr, Brody Murr; great-grandchildren, Braxton Swift, Brycen Swift, Drake Wright, Cade Wright, Amelia Wright, Braden Murr, Selena Murr, Bryson Murr; brother-in-law Bruce Hall; many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Jo Graves to Little Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund PO Box 181, Corryton, TN 37721. Family and friends will meet at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Little Flat Creek Cemetery 9132 E. Emory Rd Corryton, TN 37721 for a 3:00 graveside service officiated by Pastor Richie Beeler.
