Vera Mae Beckner

Vera Mae Howard Beckner, age 87, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 18, 2023. She was a faithful member of Branville Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Beckner; parents, Cicero and Anna Howard; sister, Betty Carr; brothers, Bud, Jimmy and Carl Edward Howard; great grandbaby, Winter.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Tammie Beckner; daughter, Carolyn Byrd; grandchildren, Shay (Baylie) and Megan Beckner, Nick (Eva) and Amanda Byrd; great grandchildren, Ashley, Baylee, Noah, Hayden, Shaden and Kaden; brothers, R.C. (Sheryl) and Randy (Mary) Howard; sisters, Annabelle Terry, Pat Callahan and Peggy (Bob) Jaynes; sister-in-law, Ruth Howard; several nieces and nephews. 

Family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 5:00pm until time of funeral service at 7:00pm at Branville Baptist Church 7716 Millertown Pike, Knoxville Tn.37924 with Rev. Steve Brasher officiating. Family and friends will meet at Greenwood Cemetery on Thursday,September 21,2023 at 10:45 for a 11:00 Graveside service.

Pallbearers will be Shay Beckner, Megan Beckner, Shaden Beckner, Kaden Beckner, Noah Close and Keith Howard.
