Trilma Evelyn Russell Davis

Trilma Evelyn (Russell) Davis, our beloved mother, age 77, of Maynardville, went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 26, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was a member of Fellowship Christian Church, Luttrell, TN. She was born in Harlan, KY and moved to Maynardville, TN at the age of three where she remained throughout her life.

Trilma was a born-again child of God. She loved the Lord, and constantly showed the love of Jesus through her service towards others. She owned and operated Trilma’s Child Development Center in Maynardville, TN for 23 years, where she loved and cared for so many children. She enjoyed working in her church, sewing, crafting, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. Her greatest enjoyment in her later years were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was able to endure life’s challenges and make so many sacrifices for those she loved, with compassion, dignity and strength because of her unwavering faith in God. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Trilma was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Trilma Russell; brother, Vernon Ivan “J.R.” Russell; sister, Mona Lee Russell, brother, Curtis Russell; and sister, Anita Corum.

She is survived by her children: Tamelia (David) Jenkins, Loren (Renee) Davis, Misty (Joe) Galloway and Joanie (Mike) Brock. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Adam (Kayla) Davis, Abby Davis, Gavin Davis, Grace (Quintin) Whitaker, Emmaline (Matt) Sizemore, Keleigh Galloway, Enic (Makenzie) Brock, Shane Galloway, and Jonah (Krista) Brock; great-grandchildren: Easton Davis, Halle Davis, Brenlee Brock, Baby Sizemore and Baby Whitaker on the way; siblings: Bonnie (Jerry) Thomas; James (Frances) Russell; Judy Smith, Mary Merritt, and sister-in-law, June Russell; and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Fellowship Christian Church (746 Tazwell Pike Luttrell, TN 37779), with a funeral service to follow. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 11:00 am at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel and travel in procession to Pleasant View Cemetery in Maynardville for an interment service. Officiating the services will be Rev. Johnny Smith, Rev. James Russell, Rev. Eddie Muncey and Rev. Eddie Williams. Serving as pallbearers will be: Adam Davis, Gavin Davis, Enic Brock, Shane Galloway, Jonah Brock, Quintin Whitaker, Matt Sizemore and honorary pallbearers, Easton Davis and Beau Brantley.
