Tommy Dewayne Foust

Tommy Dewayne Foust, age 78, of Lake City, TN, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. He was in Ironworkers Local 384 for many years. He was a veteran and Staff Sargent of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Tommy was also a member of the American Legion Post 0120. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star.

Tommy loved feeding his wildlife, watching western movies and professional wrestling, and smoking cigars.

Preceded in death by wife of 50 years, Dorothy Bolt Foust; parents, Hollis Foust and Imogene Mullins; sister, Linda Foust Boling; grandfather, “Kit” Carson Foust; grandmother, Katie Burton Foust, who raised him; brothers, Terry Foust and Sherman Foust; special uncle, Vernie Lee (Pete) Foust.

Survived by daughter, Tina Foust; son, Tommy Foust, Jr., both of Powell, TN; sisters, Angel Foust, Josephine Rutherford and Suvella Vowell, all of Lake City, TN; lifelong friend, Don Arnwine.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 1:00pm until 2:30pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel. Following the visitation, family and friends will go in procession to Lynch Bethel Cemetery, 5928 W Emory Rd., Knoxville, TN 37931, for a 3:00pm graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations be made to Mynatt Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses.
