Timothy "Tim" K. James

Timothy (Tim) K. James, age 66 of Knoxville, passed away April 25, 2024. He was the most generous person. He would give you anything he could. He works for the Knox News Sentinel for 32 years. He also operated and owned alongside his family James Food Market for 40 years. Preceded in death by parents Virgil and Mary Jo Layman James, and brother Randy James. He is survived by his high school sweetheart Rose, whom he married on February 24, 1978, children Tammie Burnett and husband James, Virgil James and wife Heather, grandkids Ethan, Issac, Amelia, Savannah, and Oliver, sister Nadine Varner and husband Rodney many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Mynatt Funeral Home Powell Chapel. Family and friends will meet 12:45pm Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Edgewood Cemetery for a 1:00pm graveside service.
