Thomas Harvey Walker

Thomas H. Walker, 87 years old, of Maynardville, TN passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025, at home surrounded by his family.

After serving in the military as a sergeant of the MP’s, Tommy worked in the family-owned business, Mynatt’s Furniture, for 52 years. One of the best choices Tommy every made was praying for and finding Jewel Mynatt Walker, his wife of 67 years. He was a wonderful husband and father. He enjoyed his church, farm life, and helping people.

Tommy is survived by his wife Jewel Walker, daughter Julie Koontz (Larry), son Clint Walker (Mandi), Granddaughter Rikki Shea Koontz, a very special brother-n-law Duane Mynatt, sister Glenda Merritt, brother Kenny Walker (Pat), brother Mike Walker (Vicki), sister Janice Taylor (Mike).

Tommy was preceded by his father and mother Kenneth and Beatrice Walker and father and mother in laws George and Rosella Mynatt whom he loved and worked with for many years.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, followed by a 7:00 PM funeral service officiated by Rev. Jerry Vittetoe and Rev. Jeff McMurray. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM and travel in procession to Lynnhurst Cemetery for a graveside service.
