Thomas "Tom" Edward Meek, Jr. age 75, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. He was born October 12, 1949, to the late Thomas Meek, Sr. and Edyth Harbin Meek. He was a graduate of Central High School class of 1967, after high school he joined the United States Army, going on to attend University of Tennessee and later Clemson University obtaining his master's degree as an architect, retiring from the City of Charlottesville in Virginia. Tom was the most loving, loyal, knowledgeable and generous person. He loved everyone and that love was a mutual sentiment to all who knew him. Tom was also preceded in death by his first wife, Genny Meek, and his special dog, Scout. Tom leaves behind his loving wife of six years, Minerva Ridner, whom he reacquainted with at their 50th High School reunion. Tom and Minerva both maintained really close relationships with their classmates from high school and organized several reunions throughout the years to get everyone together. Tom was also an amazing stepfather to Courtney (Christy) Ridner and Wesley Ridner. He also leaves behind his grandson, Davis Ridner, sister, Charlotte (Frank) Wilburn, best friend who was more like a brother, Jim Musgraves, and Jim's mother, who was like a second mother to Tom, Charlotte Musgraves, many nieces and nephews, and his two fur babies, Poppy and Pepper.
