Thelma Louise Wallace

June 25, 1930 — February 10, 2023

Thelma Louise Wallace, age 92, of Powell, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 10, 2023. Waiting for her was her loving husband of 61 years Rev. Charles J. Wallace; parents, John Lee and Mae Gray; and siblings Loriene Weaver, Lewis Gray, and J.R. Gray. She will be missed by her family; daughter, Dolly Reep; grandsons Chuck (Lisa) Dockery, Joe (Amanda) Reep; great-grandchildren, Charleston, Carli, Hunter, Carson and Spencer; sister, Sue (Hooper) Strange; and several nieces and nephews. Thelma “Loody” was a member of First Baptist Church of Center Hill, Florida. Loody started each day with a hot cup of coffee while reading her Bible. She enjoyed working as a manager at Wade’s Bakery and had a homemade dessert waiting for Charlie every night. She loved watching ice skating, sewing, and an extra sweet glass of tea. Most of all, we will miss her big warm hugs and spunkiness that kept us on our toes. Family will receive friends 6:00-7:00pm Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, with funeral service to follow at 7:00pm officiated by, Rev. Larry Day. Family and friends will meet 12:45pm at East TN Veterans Cemetery, Lyons View, Wednesday, February 15, 2023, for a 1:00pm graveside service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mynattfh.com
