Terry Jean York

Terry Jean York, age 60, of Knoxville, TN entered the gates of Heaven into the loving arms of Jesus. Terry had a huge heart for animals and people that were in need of a helping hand. Terry was a miracle patient as favorite doctors stated. Terry York had lung cancer twice and beat the odds. Terry had a heart for cancer patients. Terry never met a stranger and those that met her never forgot her. Terry was always there to hold a hand, lend a shoulder, dry a tear or listen. She gave away clothes and food to the community. 

She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Gene Weaver (Sarah) of Knoxville; sister, Kimberly of Michigan; grandparents, Frank and Lorine Weaver of Knoxville; several aunts, cousins and uncles. 

She is survived by her husband, William York of Knoxville; daughters, Heather (Jeff) Crumpley of Rutledge and Sarah (Ali) Khaksar; granddaughter, Patricia Russo of Knoxville; grandsons, Adam Crumpley and Ilia Khaksar; mother, Alma Jean Dail; step-dad, Bernard Dail; brother, Erik (Robbie) Dail; and her furbabies, Milo, Scooter, Little "Buttercup", and her grandpuppy, Shiloh. 

The family will receive friends Sunday, September 13, 2026 from 11:00am - 1:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel and then go in procession to Weaver cemetery for a 2:00pm graveside service. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help with funeral cost.
