Terry Dale Wagner

Terry Dale Wagner, age 78, of Knoxville, made his final "Hole In One" on the course on August 29, 2026. One of three children born and raised in Williamsport, IN. after high school, Terry joined the U.S. Air Force in 1966 and served until 1971. While stationed in Thailand, he met (his words) "the most beautiful woman he had ever seen", Lumjuan "Kim". They married in 1969 in Thailand. Moving back to his hometown, Terry and Kim would raise three children and five grandchildren. In 2016, they bought an RV and enjoyed retirement traveling together from the East Coast to the West Coast. They then settled in Knoxville, TN. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2019. 

Terry was an avid golfer who loved hanging out with his wife, children, grandchildren and golf buddies at Three Ridges. In 2024, he was chosen to play in a senior PGA Hope Gold Tournament and did so well that they invited him back the following year. 

Terry loved his family and friends immensely and did not know a stranger. His kindness was infectious. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Lumjuan "Kim" Wagner; parents, Alta and Richard Wagner; mother and father-in-law; and brother, Tom Wagner.

He is survived by his beloved children, Chan (Lisa) Wagner, Tammy (Tommy) Bentley and Tonya Wagner; his 5 beloved grandchildren who he adored with all his heart, Frank Scott III., Makayla (Brady) Cushman, Morgan (Tre) Wagner, Jacob McGaha and Thailei (Jose) McGaha. Also survived by his brother, Tim (Helen) Wagner and many cousins, nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 11:00am at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel with East Tennessee Honor Guard Military Honors.
