Terry Lynn Hyder

Terry Hyder, Age, 68 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord and Savior on May 30, 2024. Terry was a member of Grove Heights Baptist Church. He graduated from Rule High class of 1974 and American Institute of Baking in 1996. Terry worked for Merita Bakery for 37 years.

Preceded in death by parents Albert and Mary Jo Hyder; grandparents, Jesse and Florence Hyder, Nellie and Sam Horne; brother, Garry Hyder.

Survived by wife; Diana Hyder, Children; Kelly (Tim) Ballard, Brannon (Melissa) Hyder, brother; Rickie (Judy) Hyder; sisters; Charlotte Haun, Shri-Lahn Holder, grandchildren; Richard (Cali), Samantha, Aidan and Erin Simpson, Jackson, Mackenzie, Clara and William Hyder, great-grandchildren; Elijah and Ezekiel Wells, special friend and “adopted son” Marc Pierce, as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and family.   

Family will receive friends on Sunday, June 2, 2024, from 4:00-6:00PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel with a 6:00PM service to follow. Family and Friends will meet at Edgewood Cemetery on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 12:45PM for a 1:00PM graveside service, officiated by Rev. Mark Keith, Rev. Louis Branch, and Rev. Toby Webber.
