Teresa Gillispie Moore

Teresa Moore, age 71, passed away suddenly on March 31, 2026.Teresa devoted over 33 years of her life to the Knox County Court System, where she was known for her strong work ethic, dedication, and pride in her work. She was respected by colleagues and built lasting friendships throughout her career.  She was preceded in death by her father, Troy Gillispie; her mother, Christine Galbraith; her brother, Ronnie Sims; her sister, Kim Lee; and her niece, Jessica Lee.  Teresa is survived by her husband, Barry Moore; her sons, Lynn Hall (Elana) and Danny Hall (Sally); her cherished grandchildren, Whitney Moore, Jake Hall (Rachel), Parker Hall (Morgan), Coda Hall, and Andrea Hall; her precious great-granddaughter, Emerson; her sister, Gail Hampton (Terry); and her nieces, Melissa Gibson and Cathy Fox. Several nieces and nephews. Known by "Mamaw" to all. Special friend, Wanda Foust. Teresa had a true calling for helping others. In her later years, she developed a deep passion for supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, working alongside her friends at the Knox County Courthouse to organize and participate in numerous fundraisers. Her compassion and generosity touched many lives.  Above all, Teresa’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who was always present—attending events, celebrating milestones, and creating lasting memories with those she loved most.  Teresa will be remembered for her kindness, her servant’s heart, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm -7:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2026 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel followed by a 7:00 pm funeral service, Rev. Mike Segers officiating.  Family and friends will meet 12:30 pm Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel to leave in procession for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service at Lynnhurst Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Teresa’s memory with a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Condolences may be expressed at www.mynattfh.com.
