Sue Ellen Norton

Sue Ellen McMillan Norton age 81, of Knoxville, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026.She played basketball for Powell High School all 4 years, and earned the name “Olive Oil.” She also participated in high jump for track. She was alumni of the Class of 1963. She was a member of Central Baptist Church of Fountain City and also a member of the Eastern Star. Sue was an avid fanatic of Bingo in Halls.

Sue was preceded in death by her father, James Roy McMillan; mother, Mary Elizabeth Bittle McMillan; sister, DeAlva McMillan-Norton-Thompson-Bennett; brothers, Jerry Armond McMillan and Roy “Eddie” Edward McMillan. She is survived by her ex-husband, Charles (Sandy) Norton, children, Lloyd David (Kristie) Norton, Sheila Norton and Sheri Elizabeth (Bill) Neubert; grandchildren, Tanner Norton, Gabe (Allie) Neubert and Annah Neubert; siblings, Jerry McMillan, Eddie McMillan and DeAlva McMillan Norton Thompson Bennett; sister-in-law, Teresa McMillan; niece and nephews, Keith (Bethany) McMillan, Kenley, Baylee, Gracyn, Sarah Beth (Mitch) McMillan Faue, Lucy and Fender; Sheila Norton (The Golden Worker); and special friends, Carolyn Wallace, Jackie Duncan and Julie Brown.
