Sue Cordner, 71, of Halls, TN passed away suddenly February 2, 2026 at North Knoxville Medical Center. Sue was the proud mother of a Gold Star Veteran. She was a strong, loving and caring daughter, sister and friend as well. She took joy in the little things in life and loved spending precious time with her family. Sue was a very special and talented woman who had a knack for painting, photography and nearly anything she set her mind to. She would host Christmas dinner every year and made the best turkey. Sue was also a member of Saint Albert the Great Catholic Church. Memorials may be sent to Wounded Warrior in honor of her deceased son, William “Billy” Cordner. She was also preceded in death by her father, William Eldridge and sister, Linda Silva. She is survived by her mother, Lillie Eldridge; sisters, Mary Hodges and Kim Desjardins (Larry Ownby); brother, Charles Eldridge (Carolyn Thorp); friend and former husband, Lee Cordner and his sister, Judy; uncle and aunt, Willis and Edith Daugherty and their children, Connie, Tim and Sam and many other nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Mynatt Funeral Home Powell Chapel. A service will follow at 7:00pm with pastor Sam Ward officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 Friday, February 13, 2026 in Pleasant View Cemetery for a 1:00pm graveside service.
