Steve Allen Barnwell

Steve Allen Barnwell, age 62 of Darlington SC, current resident of Corryton, TN passed away ...... with his devoted wife by his side who cared for him for the past year and half, 24/7, while he fought, till the very end, a courageous battle with cancer.

Steve was born Oct. 16, 1961 to James and Patricia Barnwell in Orlando FL. Since Steve's Dad was in the US Air Force, Steve traveled many places during his life spending many years at Ft. Walton Beach, FL and Plattsburgh AFB, NY, just to name a few. He was a 1979 graduate of Peru High School in Peru, NY. He is employed by Aisin Automotive Casting in Clinton, TN, where he has worked for the past 12 years.

Besides being a man who liked to work hard, Steve loved to enjoy life and spend time doing the things he loved most, working outside on his lawn, keeping his cars in 'spotless' condition. He had a passion for Nascar, WWF Wrestling, and his SC Gamecocks. Most of all, Steve liked spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed time with his Son, his "Buddy" fishing, seeing his Grandchildren, and most of all time with his Wife enjoying card games, music, and the Beach as much as they could.

Preceded in death by his parents, James and Patricia Barnwell, his brothers, James Barnwell Jr and Brian Barnwell. And, Father-in-law, Michael G. McKenzie.

Steve leaves behind to honor his memory, his wife of 10 years, Lynnette 'Lynn" Barnwell. Steve and Lynn reconnected after 30 years of being friends in high school at Plattsburgh, AFB, NY., and married 3 years later on the beach in Myrtle Beach, SC. His son, Adrian Barnwell (Jessica) of Effingham, SC. Daughter, Cassie Barnwell of Florence, SC. Stepsons, Christopher McKenzie of Knoxville, TN. Joey Fornear (Eryka) of Nashville, TN. Brian Fornear, of Dallas, TX. Stepdaughter, Kari Dirmeyer (Brandon) of Maryville, TN. Six Grandchildren and Five Step-Grandchildren. His Siblings, Charles (Lynn) Barnwell of MS, Sister, Kathrine (Marty) Grossman of GA, and Sister-in-law Kathy Barnwell of SC. In-laws, Mother-in-law, Jackie McKenzie, Lori and Mark McKenzie Gilles, Michael A. McKenzie, Robert and Heather McKenzie, all of TN. And, so many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends who were all special to him. Steve will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Steve would want to be remembered by his loved ones and friends by the good times and laughter that we all had the honor to share with him. As Steve would say often, "and I ain't lyin'
