Sonya LeAnn Salmon

Sonya Salmon, 53, of Knoxville, TN, passed away September 22, 2025, at Parkwest Medical Center. She is survived by her daughter, McKala Hall (Brandon Sharp); son, Joseph Boring (Jessica); parents, Roy and Lona Ford; brother, Willie Harris (Brandy); grandchildren, Andrew, Aaliyah, Alyssa, Josiah and Spencer and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Salmon and adopted daughter, Hallie Boring. Sonya was a strong spirit, stood firm on her beliefs, loved her family and adored her grandchildren. She loved her dogs, music and collecting monkeys. Sonya was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM, at the Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel with a service to follow at 2:30 PM. Pastor Paul Metler will be officiating. Family and friends will meet at East Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, for a 10:00 AM service.
