Sidney Ray Sykes

Sidney Ray Sykes, age 71, of Heiskell, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025. He was a member of Awaken Church. Sidney was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Thelma Sykes; sisters, Wanda Gibbons, Delana Guy and Debbie Sykes. He is survived by his loving wife of forty years, Viola Sykes; “like a son” Marshall Saylor; step-daughter, Robin (Anthony) Lieser; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family of Mr. Sykes would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Norris Health and Rehabilitation for their kindness and care. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM Monday, September 29, 2025 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow at 2:30 PM. Pastor Steve Fatow, officiating.
