Shirley Russell

Shirley Russell, age 80, of Knoxville, TN went home to be with the Lord on September 25, 2025. She was a member of Redemption Harvest Church. She loved Jesus more than anything, and she was best known for her praise.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Russell; daughter Betsy Ann; mother and father; Maynard and May Wilkerson; brothers Jr, Edward (Dumpy), and Jerry; sister, Patsy and Barb; and son-in-law, Terry McFarland.

Shirley is survived by her children; Kathy Young (Tony) and Colleen McFarland; grandchildren, Jennifer Douglas (Cody), Chasity Coker (Aaron), Brandy Large (Austin), Julie Higdon (Cary); and 9 great- grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Jonathan Towe and Nurse Betty at UT Primary; physicians, Dr. Algldir at TN Cancer Center; and Chase and Bryan at Amedisys.

Family will receive friends Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6 PM with a 6:00 PM service at Redemption Harvest Church with Pastor Jody Darden officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM Monday, September 29, 2025, at Mayes Chapel Cemetery (3315 East Emory Rd Knoxville, TN. 37938) for a 11:00 AM Graveside Service.
