Shirley L. Goans

Shirley L. Ownby Goans, age 74 of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 15, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was also a member of the Circle Assembly of God. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, John and Rintha Ownby and many of her siblings. She is survived by her daughters; Leverne Knight Atkins, and Sandra Knight (Darrell) McDaniel, grandchildren; Whitney Atkins (Chad) McElhaney, and Zachary (Ericka) McDaniel, great-grandchild; Carly McElhaney, sister; Cassie (Jack) Cansler, brothers; Floyd (Mary) Ownby and Ray Ownby; as well as a host of many nieces and nephews.
