Shirley Lois Chesney

Shirley Lois Chesney, age 81 of Halls, went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 1, 2023. Shirley loved her family, her church and the Lord. She was a friend to many and will be missed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Charlie Chesney; parents, Doyle and Lenore Russell; brother, Ernie Russell. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Jerry) Brown; sons, Jeff (Michelle) Chesney and Gary (Kim) Chesney; grandchildren, Chelsey Wynn, Morgan Chesney, Logan Phelps, Jarren Brothers and Zachary Chesney; brothers, Howard (Annette) Russell and Bob (Sue) Russell; special sister-in-laws, Mattie Russell and Barbara Wallace; 6 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends, and a special thank you to Bessie Brown for assisting in her care. Family will receive friends Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm, officiated by Rev. Bill McCarter. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Emory Pike American Christian Church Cemetery at 9:45am for a 10:00am interment, officiated by Rev. Jeff Chesney.
