Sheila Yearwood Picquet

Sheila Yearwood Picquet, age 60, of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at her home.

She was a member of North Knoxville Baptist Church, a very loved and dedicated employee of Children’s Hospital for over 21 years, and inspired her son, Josh, to become an RN for 12 years. Sheila, also known as Sugar, SheShe, and Nonna, was a loving, caring, nurturing mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She never met a stranger, and everyone she came in contact with became a better person.

She is preceded in death by father, Harold Sanders; brother, Dwayne Sanders; grandparents, Harley and Evelyn Phillips; and many other family members.

She is survived by husband Jamie Picquet; children, Zach Yearwood (Melissa), Josh Picquet (Christina), and Jerra White (Cory); mother, Shirley Bauswell; grandchildren, Amelia “Millibug” Picquet, William “Will” White, and Emily “Emmie” White; sister-in-law, Lisa Sanders; niece and nephew, Madison Palmer and Baylor Sanders; great-nephews, Waylon and Cohen.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 5:00pm until time of Celebration of Life service at 7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Powell Chapel.
