Sharon Frazier Coonrod

Sharon Leora “Aunt Shortie” Frazier Coonrod of Powell, TN passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. She was a longtime employee of Levi Strauss & Co. in Knoxville. She was a UT graduate where she obtained a degree in Logistics and Transportation. She concluded her working career with the State of TN. Sharon was a loving Sister, “Aunt Shortie” and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. Since childhood, Sharon has always been an animal lover, always having dogs, cats and horses.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Coonrod; parents, James and Opal Miller Frazier; sister, Joan Barker; brother-in-law, Charles Powell; and special friend, David Latham.

She is survived by her sister, Ramona Powell of Powell, TN; brother-in-law, Charles Barker of Powell, TN; nephews, Mike Barker and Nick (Jennifer) Powell; niece, Natalie (Michael) Powell England; and great-niece and nephews, Sawyer England, Luke England, Cayden Brasher and Tanner Powell.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Helen and Lawrence Wynegar.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 3:00-5:00 PM at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Woodlawn Cemetery for an 11:00 AM graveside service officiated by Rev. Steve Brasher. Pallbearers will be Mike Barker, Nick Powell, Natalie England, Michael England, Tanner Powell and Luke England. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Barker and Cayden Brasher. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Sharon.
