Sandra K. Kennedy Gilbert

Sandra K. Kennedy Gilbert, age 78, of Powell, TN went to be with her precious Jesus on Monday, October 5, 2026. Born to Charles and Marjorie Kennedy on June 11, 1948.  Sandra was raised mainly by her aunt, her father's sister, Mrs. Ruth Anderson.  Her mother and father divorced and her father took her.  Sandra lived with people her father knew.  She went to Fair Garden Park Jr and East High School.  She was Bobby's high school girlfriend and she loved him dearly.  The married on February 4, 1967 after leaving school.  A year later they had Bobby Glenn, a son.  Sandra worked for Kroger for 23 years as a front end manager.  Bobby Glenn was 33, found to have brain cancer and she lost him.  Sandra left Kroger after breast cancer, had surgery, but lived.  Her and Bobby were married 59 years and built a home in Broadacres, where they lived.  Sandra was a member of First Baptist Church of Powell.  She loved Jesus.

Family and friends will meet at 9:45am, Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Caledonia Cemetery for a 10:00am graveside service.
