Sandra E. Lance, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Born on January 19, 1949, in Davidson County, Tennessee, Sandra lived a life defined by deep faith, unwavering love, and a remarkable devotion to her family and friends. Sandra was a God-loving woman, a wonderful mother, an incredible grandmother, a devoted sister, and a loyal friend to everyone she met. She found her greatest joy in being a grandmother, and her grandchildren were the light of her life. Through her kindness, strength, and enduring faith, she touched countless hearts. Her presence brought warmth, comfort, and joy, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace, rejoicing in heaven and surrounded by eternal love.
Sandra was preceded in death by her mother, Margie H. Lance; her father, Sterling H. Lance, Sr.; her brother, Patrick M. Lance; and her brother-in-law, Douglas Haley.
Survived by her daughters, Lois E. Shook and Christine (Jim) Cassas; grandchildren, Shadonna, Isabella, Kelci, Lorah, Allysen, and Jerry; and great-grandchildren, Lydia, Zoey, Paislee, and Rosalie.
Sandra is also survived by her siblings: Mike (Connie), Deb (Rick) O’Kelly, Sterling Jr. (Vicki), Stephen (Lulu), Sharon Haley, Teresa (Mark) Witty, Wanda Sloan, David (Abby), Lisa (Chris) Kite, Pamela Telfer, and James (Tammy). She dearly loved her many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. A special place in her heart was held for her spiritual daughter, Laura Wilson; her lifelong friend, Judy Green; and her wonderful neighbors, Paul and Karen Feliciano.
A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at:

In honor of Sandra’s joyful spirit, guests are invited to dress comfortably in bright and colorful attire just as she would have loved. The gathering will reflect her love for family and fellowship, with favorite foods, desserts, and cupcakes shared among those she cherished most. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating a life so beautifully lived. Sandra’s love and legacy will forever remain in our hearts.
