Samuel Lewis Tackett

Samuel Lewis Tackett, age 71, of Knoxville, Tennessee, formerly of Stinking Creek, Tennessee, died peacefully Tuesday, August 12, 2025 with his family by his side. Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Lassie Tackett; brothers, James and John Tackett; sister, Phyllis Duncan and great grandson, Eli Ayers. Sam is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Sue Tackett; children, Regina Tackett, Sam (Christy) Tackett, Amanda (Frank) Reynolds, Rebecca Mason, Jesse Tackett, Aaron Bruzzo, Noah Bruzzo; grandchildren, Adam (Kristin) White, Andrew (Hannah) White, Ben Lamarr, Deston Phillips, Katelyn Phillips, Haylee Graham, Sammy Tackett, Samantha Myers, Sara (Canaan) Harper, Spencer (Vanna) Cole, Josh (Kimberly) Reynolds, Daphne (Alek) Cheek, Jasmine Mason, Breanna Mason and Grace Marie Bruzzo; great grandchildren, Emma, Emmett, Ellie Jo, Messiah, Marlee Jo, Evianna, Piper, Sophia, Rowan, Lily Anne, Mattie Grace and Ivory; brothers, Jack (Ruby) Tackett and Joe (Jan) Tackett; sisters, Brenda Trentham and Gwen Tackett. A celebration of Sam's life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Mynatt Funeral home, Halls Chapel.
