Samuel "David" Gosnell

Name Samuel David Gosnell, age 73 of Knoxville, TN passed away on February 28, 2026. He was a member of Circle Assembly of God. Proceeded in death by his parents, Ovid and Ollie Gosnell, sisters, Colleen Gosnell and Nancy Womble, brothers, Robert "Bobby " Gosnell, Johnny Gosnell, Earl Gosnell, and Edward Gosnell. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca McNeely Gosnell, children and spouses, David "Matt" Gosnell & daughter in law Melissa, Kristy Gosnell Ritch & son in law Scott, and Jasmine Renee Gosnell, grandchildren, Katrina Mackey, Zach Gosnell, Ethan Ritch, Makayla Ritch Brown, Megan Robinson, Jacob Gosnell, Josh Blevins, Jasmine Blevins, Jeremy Blevins deceased, Jenna Blevins, great grandchildren, Caiden, Lilley, Elijah, Braelyn,Skylar, Liam, Lucas, Laken,Grayson Rynlee, Bella, Noah Isaac, Aisley, Nylah, Rinlee,Ava, Lorelai, numerous nieces, nephews ,grand nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews that he dearly loved, and special grand dog Balto.

Special acknowledgement and thanks to UT Palliative Care, Circle Assembly of God church family, Morning Pointe of Knoxville, friends and staff at FT. Sanders Regional 7th floor, Tennova North 3rd floor, special family friend Diane Lewis, and special sister in law Phyllis Phillips and family.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm officiated by John Lawson and Derrick Overholt. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 1:00pm to proceed to Anderson-Gouffon Cemetery for a 1:30pm graveside service with full military honors.   

Pallbearers will be, Travis Hoskins, Isaiah Harmon, Ethan Ritch, Scott Ritch, Derrick Overholt, and Steve Phillips. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kristy Ritch in Trust for Jasmine Gosnell.
